  1. Our window ac unit leaked inside and our beautiful hardwood floors buckled and lifted in multiple areas 😭 they are stained with multiple stain colors too so replacing feels so overwhelming 🫠 not even sure the type of wood was used.

  2. So we have a flooring here that expands, yet it buckled after the original install which also used lite nails and now you have reinstalled using flooring nails along with glue while leaving an expansion space. Question being, how could the flooring planks correctly expand when they have been secured to the subfloor via nails and glue?

  3. If I didn't DESPERATELY need this information, I would have immediately bailed out because of the rapid-fire one-word subtitles. It's so hard for the eye to ignore them. I just want to see what you're trying to show us. I still gave you a like, because you gave me the info I need. But please consider not doing that!

  4. I can relate to your experience with the hardwood floors. I had a similar issue when my installer didn’t leave adequate expansion gaps, leading to some serious buckling.

I used a multi-tool to create relief cuts and carefully pulled up the affected planks, numbering them as I went, so I could reinstall them properly. It was tedious but worth it to avoid mixing up the pieces. I also learned the hard way that using a good adhesive is crucial; I once tried Liquid Nails and regretted it.

Instead, I switched to a reliable hardwood adhesive, which held better. I’ve found that taking the time to clean the substrate thoroughly before reinstalling is key to a long-lasting fix. After all that work, it felt great to see the floor back to perfection without any color mismatch or the need for sanding.

Thanks for sharing this solution! It’s always helpful to see others tackle similar issues. Keep up the great work!
