This wood patch job was poorly done.
Looks worse than before the repair. Those stain pens aren't any good, the colour is completely wrong.

Doesn't the sanding damage the surrounding laminated planks?
It's a good try, but I think you would have faired better with regular stain.

Nice attempt but its noticeable. Im leaning toward colored wood putty now. Its hard to predict how the stain will look.
