  1. Thank you so much! The only video out there on YouTube where you get clear step by step explanation which actually works in real life!! I`ve watched dozens of other videos where you`ll get only general information. This man explains and shows it all! We`ve actually replaced 3 laminate planks using this video! It saved us a lot of money as we initially thought we will have to replace the entire flooring!

  2. This is a 4/5 stars video. The only thing missing is a section that goes into more detail around when and how to modify the lips. Iโ€™m replacing 8 planks, the video emboldened me to take the planks out. Now Iโ€™m praying I can get a good idea of when to remove the lips and how to modify the new planks so they fit well without screwing it up.

  3. The last piece about the channel is what confuses me still. Did you cut the groove off first and then cut from the bottom of the plank to make that channel. Sorry im a little slow

  4. Watched other videos but havenโ€™t come accross any better than yours! I am a homeowner that had a toilet problem due to a plumber that messed up. Now my small closet type toilet room within a bathroom has the lvpf removed. I was going to try it myself but this takes experience and skills that you have my friend. You donโ€™t happen to live in Phoenix do ya? Can recommend anyone here with the talent you have?
    Thank you

  5. Glad I looked into this as I thought I was screwed and was looking at tearing up half the floor to get at the damaged pieces. Had a kitchen chair on wheels damage the floor and didn't realize it was happening until too late. Gonna give it a go.

  6. I had someone install lifeproof LVP for me they didnโ€™t do prep on high and low spots so I can start to point out places where the seams are failing can I use this approach to remove the problem planks then go in and level the floor out by sanding or filling then go in and reinstall ?

  7. Thank you! I had water damage in a large area. The vinyl planking was pulled up and preserved, but I was worried about how to put it back together. Your video is so clear. I will share this with my handyman.

  8. Wow this guy is good. There is a lot more to this procedure than first meets the eye, and he really shows every detail. Thanks. Question: What should it cost in a large metro area (March 2026) for a handyman to replace one of these LVP planks?

  9. Do you know what would have been faster… Taking up those two or three rows and then putting them right back down would have taken 5 minutes. Even faster not making this mistake in the first place. BTW Go ahead and do that on a floor floating on top of tile… No.. oh ok

  10. Iโ€™ve read on more than one of these videos for the same repair that in time the one side will bow. Seems to be only good for temporary repair, you would have to remove planks up to the trouble plank and back up towards to wall to properly seal it no?

  11. I have done repairs exactly like this and let me just say they are not as durable as the whole plank being put in… I realize it's not cost effective to take apart half of floor to put two boards in… however if in a traffic area I would try to put in full planks to avoid cracks and separating.. The strength of the floor resides in the tongue holding all four sides when you cut off the tongue and just glue it on the strength is transferred to all the surrounding boards thus making the floor weaker in that area…ask me how I know…. Although it's more labor-intensive I would recommend dismantling the floor and reassembling it it's possible if you're careful depending on what type of floor you have…. I believe this installer knows what he's doing and is trying to show you how to fix something without creating a bunch of work… But in reality work is work.
