Just had my laundry room done, and the guy did a poor job. Had to fix 4 tiles so far myself. Other comments are correct… not enough mortar, not directional, didn't butter the tile to get solid adhesion to the back… notice when he lifts it almost nothing is clinging to the tile itself. And the fact he lifted it at all means it was just basically sitting there not stuck down.
The fact he could pull that tile up so easily guarantees the rest of the tiles will pop up just as easy. No directionally trowelling and no back buttering tiles before laying. Also the adhesive has dried up too fast
It's improper. No directional troweling, trowel is too small, there's no bond to the back of the tile, etc. Watch Trowel and Error and use a larger trowel with tiles that are more than 16" on any dimension.
You didn't finish the installation completely.
Whooa, that was a really super loose tile!
Thats why you didnt back butter and your trowel was too small. 1/2 X 1/2 is what you need for larger 12×24 format tile
Friday night Smackdown
All that work to just do it wrong again.
lol such weak glue, mine is harder than concrete…
Can you do the same process in the bathroom that’s upstairs

What was that tool that used to stick ang pull the tile out? Tool name?
What tool is that?
If that one is set like that, they are all set improperly! Not enough coverage and drying too quickly because of concrete!
