Didn’t show an important step and that’s removing the tongue on the long end and short end. Not always easy as sometimes you have to really work on it so it’ll drop into place.
I would not use wood glue. I would use a glue with polyethylene or an additive that allows movement. Most wood glues not only will not band, but harden and crack on LVP floor.
I saw this video and thought hey I could do the repair myself .. nope. It will not line up. I even cut the other side lip. And it was still to big. I end up damaging the other laminate by forcing and hammering down.
I can do this no problem and I have the extra pieces and tools already! I am going to use my cordless Makita 6 1/2" circular saw, though and not cut into the underlayment.
He doesn’t show you that the new plank needs trimmed so that it fits in properly them Glue the trim on the other planks before putting the new plank in place

You'll need to replace the one you damaged whilst removing the damaged one 😂

Yeah, this doesn't work on a lot of this type of flooring. It looks like ass when you're done.
