  1. I love how everyone who does this stuff is always more concerned with the initial outcome and not the longevity that comes with getting something professionally done.

I can assure you, this wont last. I have to repair these peoples over-confidence and cheapness all the time.

do yourself a favor, save yourself the time, and spend the money

  2. I would like to do this on my porch. I live in a condo though and porch is closed and so how do I get the water up because I know I can get the dirt up by the vacuum, but how do I get the water up?

  3. Just curious how long you waited to paint after you had water on the floor…. As well did you do a moisture test with visqueen down on the floor over night?
That’s pretty crucial when putting epoxy down in floors.

  4. Nope your prep isn’t right. If you didn’t use a concrete sander and also fill those big cracks you have it’s going to bubble from moisture and flake off. Hope it worked out but fingers crossed

  5. Great job but using water actually makes it worse for when applying epoxy. Using a cement sander opens the pipes of the cement and actually get a better look and the flakes stick better once epoxy dries. But you did awesome job for sure!

  6. DIY will always be cheaper. That should never be the point of any DIY video. Will it be as good… Debatable. Did she use the same process as a professional company, no. Did she use a comparable product, maybe. Who will warranty the material and labor if it fails… Her.

  7. Really should be grinded and you won't have to do it again. The whole point of epoxying your garage floor. Buying epoxy that gives you a lifetime guarantee provided that you prepped and did it right before you poured the epoxy. It should last forever. You should never have to do it every 5 years every two years. You do it right the first time. It'll be your last time

  8. i also do epoxy for a living when you do that top coat (poly) do long rolls across the floor instead of short ones like you’re painting a wall it prevents roller marks
